Sun Protection for Life presents the statistical evidence of the epidemic of skin cancer, particularly melanoma, and in a lay person’s language, describes the most common skin cancers and the treatments available. The book explores what programs are already being used to provide education about skin cancer prevention and detection, gives examples of how local, state and national government should contribute to these education programs, and devotes individual chapters to segments of the population most at risk - children, outdoor workers, baby boomers.
